WHY did you start Iyaniwura Elders Oasis?

Iyaniwura was created in honor of our beloved late mother, grandmother, and aunts who passed on before fully enjoying on the joys of friendship, sisterhood, imagination, and fun in their elder ages. We wanted to ensure other Iyas don’t lose out on the experience the joys of aging. Instead of waiting for others to help remind them that there is still fun in old age, we started the movement ourselves.
