  • Iyaniwura’s mission is to provide elder ladies of Lagos (70+) female friendship, and zest of life. The beloved mamas and grandmas of Lagos deserve it. Programming is focused on social engagement, wellness, and creativity. As mothers are treasured, the attendees of Iyaniwura Elder’s Oasis can participate in a monthly spa day. Other special events and programming will occur throughout the year. 

    We are seeking a Program Manager to run the day-to-day programs and special events of the elder ladies’ daytime center. 

    Responsibilities

    • Execute the daily operations of the social center by facilitating daily programming, motivating and engaging the attendees, troubleshooting. 

    • Assist and collaborate with the leadership team to plan and execute daily programming of the social center.  

    • Execute special events, including serving as liaison facilitators, instructors, and guests to ensure all special programming runs smoothly. 

    • Oversee and manage a small team of program assistants, and a receptionist.

    • Serve as keyholder, opening, closing, and the regular cleaning of the social center on days of operations. 

    • Report all center activities to the leadership team, producing activity reports on a frequent basis–weekly, monthly, quarterly. 

    Qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s Degree (completed a 4-year degree)

    • 5+ years experience in retail, hospitality, or nonprofit/NGO management 

    • 2+ years experience overseeing and managing teams 

    • 2+ years experience facilitating programs in a nonprofit or educational setting

    • Experience with digital communication tools (Gmail, Instagram)

    • Comfortable and competent working with elderly individuals. 

    • Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and solution oriented with the ability to quickly assess, diffuse and ameliorate interpersonal conflicts. 

    • Comfortable communicating to multiple stakeholders (leadership, attendees, attendees’ family members, guests, instructors, facilitators, etc)

    Location: On-Site; Surulere

    Salary commensurate with experience.

    Available from 9am - 7pm including weekend availability. 

    This is for a permanent 1 year contract, renewal upon satisfactory performance.

    We are seeking two (2) Program Assistants to help the Program Manager run the day-to-day programs of the elder ladies’ daytime center. 

    Responsibilities

    • Assist the Program Manager in the preparation, execution, and close of daily operations. 

    • Collaborate with the Program Manager in the planning, preparation, and execution of all special events of the social center. 

    • Tend to the needs of the elderly center attendees throughout daily programming, ensuring all attendees are comfortable, engaged, and enjoying the programs. 

    • Assist the facilitators, instructors, and guests during operations to ensure all special programming runs smoothly. 

    • Assist the Program Manager in collecting statistics for program’s activity reports. 

    • In the event of the Program Manager’s absence, be able to assume all responsibilities for the day’s programming. 

    Qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s Degree (completed a 4-year degree)

    • 2+ years experience in retail, food service, hospitality, or nonprofit/NGO

    • Comfortable collaborating and working on a team. 

    • Experience with digital communication tools (Gmail, Instagram)

    • Comfortable and competent working with elderly individuals. 

    • Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills

    • Problem-solving skills 

    Nice-to-Haves

    • Experience facilitating programs in a nonprofit/NGO or educational setting

    • Previous experience in nonprofit/NGO programming

    Location: On-Site; Surulere

    We are seeking a Receptionist to help the Program Manager and Program Assistants run the day-to-day programs of the elder ladies’ daytime center. 

    Responsibilities

    • Assist the Program Manager and Program Assistant in the preparation, execution, and close of daily operations and special events of the social center.

    • Conduct daily check-ins of all attendees and assist with arrivals and exits of attendees. 

    • Conduct weekly attendee confirmations. 

    • Document the weekly activities via photographs and short-videos, to be used for marketing and informational purposes. 

    • Answer all online and in-person inquiries about the programs in a timely and professional fashion. 

    • Assist in maintaining a clean center and environment with regular cleaning and maintenance. 

    • Assist the facilitators, instructors, and guests during special programming, as needed. 

    Qualifications 

    • 2+ years experience as a receptionist or in retail, food service, hospitality, or nonprofit/NGO

    • Experience with digital communication tools (Gmail, Instagram)

    • Comfortable taking photographs and videos of weekly activities. 

    • Comfortable and competent working with elderly individuals. 

    • Comfortable working independently and on a team. 

    • Proficient written, verbal, and oral communication skills

    • Problem-solving skills 

    Nice-to-Haves

    • Experience a nonprofit/NGO, educational, or  corporate setting

    • Experience photographing events 

    Location: On-Site; Surulere
